Alex is rapidly departing infant-hood for little boy-hood. He learns a new word every couple of days and has a bunch of them at his disposal -- some in plain English: "mommy", "daddy", "yeah", "no", "water"; and some in his own version: "dee-dee" for cookie, "dars" for "cars", "nohne" for "phone" (he really likes them!). Not much for sentences yet, though we did hear a "thank you, Daddy" after he was given a pear. He walks fast -- he almost jogs but doesn't really run yet. And he has started climbing things -- stairs, chairs, ladders, tables. He usually wants to be helpful and likes to help sweep the floor, empty the dishwasher, or put trash in the trash can. It'd be really helpful if he was a bit better at sleeping through the night, but we love him anyway.

Adventure calls ... where he is now
